Food Prep is Not Just for Parties

My husband is a foodie. He lives for the full food experience. He enjoys planning, shopping for, finding great deals, cooking for and enjoying food at both parties and everyday occasions like dinner. He can be so excited about his dinner that he will look over at me and ask, “Do you know what we’re having tomorrow?” He smiles big and has a twinkle in the eyes. The non-foodie in me thinks that “I just want this dinner. I don’t care about tomorrow.” He just doesn’t get me, lol. Check this out!

Preparing for events where food is a key part of the event takes planning and preparation. Everything should be perfect. It should look beautiful and make you smile as you savor the food. Food should be delicious and served at the right times. It’s not hard work. This is why people do it. Because of the love for the connection that is made through food.

Food preparation is equally important in your quest to live a healthy, fit lifestyle. You’ve set your goal to transform your body and your mind. This journey should be as simple as possible. Preparing your food ahead of time is one of the best things you can do. Planning is important for minimizing waste, satisfying your needs, and helping you achieve your health and leaner lifestyle goals.

No matter how many meals you eat in a given day, prepping your meals on weekends can help you stay on track throughout the week. Depending on whether I am weight training, I eat between five and six meals per day. Whole foods are more appealing than prepackaged food. I have a system that works well for me and I will share it here. Your prep will look different depending on how you approach this part of your fitness and health journey. I hope to show you how food prep looks and help you make it your own.
